Title South Main Street (1941)
Background Built c1750, William Coolidge purchased the house on South Main Street in 1825 from Mrs. Mahard. Three generations of the Coolidge family occupied the house. The town offered to sell the house for $1 to anyone who would move it from the site. There were no takers. The house was destroyed in 1957.

A few parts of the house were saved before destruction. The Natick Historical Society has a mortise and tennon joint from some interior beams on display.
