Description [Original at Morse Institute #510. Maria (Morse) Hayes Mansion. East Central Street -- where theatre block now stands. Maria was the daughter of the owner of Morse Tavern, which stood on next lot (where St. Patrick's rectory now stands). Her husband and son having died, Mrs. Hayes left a bequest to the town, to found a Home for Aged Persons. This property was part of the legacy. House torn down in the 1920s.]
