May 2, 1960: Sherwood Plaza shopping center opens.
May 3, 1810: Edward Walcott, businessman and abolitionist, born.
May 5, 1977: Bacon School demolished.
May 6, 1841: Library Society begins in South Natick. This group would become the basis for the Bacon Free Library.
May 7, 1985: Town Meeting approves move of Natick District Court to former Lincoln School.
May 16, 2003: The Center for the Arts in Natick opens at Summer Street Firehouse.
May 20, 1690: Rev. John Eliot dies in Roxbury.
May 29, 1875: Cannons at Civil War monument on Common dedicated.
May 29, 1892: Cornerstone laid at St. Patrick's Parish.
May 30, 1855: Walter Morse and William L. Hanchett, for $1,200, gave the town much of the land that would become the town's Common. Another parcel of land would come from the Kimball Farm.
May 30, 1922: World War I squares dedicated.
May 31, 1670: Indians petition the Massachusetts General Court for their cattle brand.
